| In reverse order: 1) When I said in "Dean's 2530 powered Z" I was referring to Greg Dupree taking a last minute drive down the strip in Dean's car after Dean had already run back to back 10.8s and retired for the night. Had he continued to run, he likely would have had his own 10.6 or better because conditions got better and better but it was Greg who drove that quicker run. 2) Rod knock is the sound you hear when the bearing wears out and you can hear the piston direction change as a result of the slop/play within the connecting rod-to-crank clearance. Usually sounds like a loud tap-tap-tap sound (much harsher than a lifter tick sound, for instance) though sometimes it may not be audible until the engine is into the higher RPM ranges, depending upon severity and a few other factors. Not sure if that confused you more than helped you, but I'm not an expert. Someone else here can explain it better I think :)
If you think defending quality shops and site sponsors with proven records makes him a whore, then you are the ones with the problem. Stop being bitches. - October 21, 2003 at 06:16 PM
